Choosing a Rafflecopter alternative in 2026

The original Rafflecopter closed on October 1, 2025. If you used it to pick giveaway winners and need a replacement, this page explains what kind of tool replaces which part of Rafflecopter, how PickAWin compares item by item, and how to run your next draw.

PickAWin is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a continuation of the original Rafflecopter, its former owners, or any other site that uses the Rafflecopter name.

What Rafflecopter did, and what replaces each part

Rafflecopter was best known for its entry widget: a box you embedded on a blog or website where people entered a giveaway by completing actions, such as visiting a page or leaving a comment, and the tool then picked a random winner among the entries. That is two jobs in one product, and the replacements are usually two different kinds of tool.

  • Collecting entries with a widget or form โ€” this is what contest platforms such as Gleam, SweepWidget, Woobox or ShortStack, or a WordPress plugin like RafflePress, are built for. Most are sold as subscriptions; check each one's current plans on its own site.
  • Picking a winner from social comments โ€” if your giveaway is "comment on this post", you do not need a widget at all. A comment picker such as PickAWin loads the comments, applies your rules and draws the winner.

If you relied on the widget to collect entries on your website, a contest platform is the closer replacement, and PickAWin is not the right tool for that part. If your giveaways happen in Instagram comments, PickAWin covers the whole job.

PickAWin vs Rafflecopter, item by item

Run your next draw without Rafflecopter

  1. 1

Keep any records you already have

If you exported entries or past winners from Rafflecopter before it closed, keep them for your own records. PickAWin does not need any historical data: every draw starts from the comments of the post.

  2. 2

Paste your Instagram post URL โ€” or the comment list

PickAWin fetches comments from Instagram post and Reel links (one-time payment per draw). For YouTube, TikTok or any other network, paste the comment list in the free manual mode. No entry widget, no signup form.

  3. 3

    Apply your rules and draw

Turn on the filters that match your published rules (duplicates, mentions, hashtag, excluded users), choose how many winners and alternates you need, and run the draw.

  4. 4

Share the result and its SHA-256 hash

Each draw uses a random 256-bit seed; the result shows the seed and SHA-256 hashes (also on the PDF certificate). Automatic draws get a public result page, and the hash can be checked at /verificar to confirm the published result was not edited afterwards.

When PickAWin is a good fit โ€” and when it is not

  • โœ…

    Comment giveaways on Instagram

Paste the link, the comments are fetched, and the draw runs on them with your filters.

  • โœ…

    Occasional giveaways

The manual mode is free and an automatic draw starts at $7.99, paid once, with no subscription.

  • โœ…

    Audiences that question results

Every draw has a SHA-256 record, and automatic draws get a public result page you can link.

  • โš ๏ธ

Entry forms, email collection or multi-step entries

PickAWin has no widget or form. Use a contest platform or a WordPress giveaway plugin for that.

  • โš ๏ธ

    "Must follow us" rules

PickAWin does not check follows. Verify the winner's profile by hand before announcing.

Frequently asked questions

Is Rafflecopter still available?

No. The original Rafflecopter closed on October 1, 2025. PickAWin is an independent alternative and has no connection to it.

Can I recover my old Rafflecopter data?

PickAWin has no access to Rafflecopter data. If you exported entries or winners before it closed, keep those files; otherwise check any announcement the Rafflecopter team made to its users.

Does PickAWin have a widget I can embed like Rafflecopter?

No. PickAWin is a hosted page: paste an Instagram post URL (paid automatic fetch) or a comment list from any network (free), then draw. For an embeddable entry widget, look at contest platforms.

Does PickAWin work for YouTube / TikTok too?

Not automatically. Automatic fetching works with Instagram post and Reel links; for YouTube, TikTok or other networks, copy the comments and paste them in the free manual mode.

Can I re-run a draw if the winner doesn't reply?

Each payment covers one draw on that post. You can pick up to 50 winners in the same draw โ€” for example, alternates in case a winner doesn't reply.

Do I need to disclose the SHA-256 record to my audience?

It's optional but recommended. Share the result with the seed and hash (or the PDF certificate); for automatic draws, the public result page and /verificar let anyone check that the published result was not edited afterwards.
